Self Love Tips

When it comes to the practice of self-love, we come up with many excuses that keep us stuck and unhappy. It is difficult to implement self-love strategies into our daily life. These low vibrational tendencies result in failure to follow through finding specific solutions to practice self-love. Self-Love is not something we practice once in a while. It is a continuous journey and development that is necessary to our existence as a human beings on planet earth.

When I was a little girl the only thing I saw my own mother do for self-love is get her hair done. I watched her in her marriage trying to rescue, people -please, and fix her partner in life. Going outside of ourselves to change people never works. The only way to create change in your life is to focus on the issues within your own self.

As a grown women I struggled to understand loving myself. I almost lost my own health doing everything to make others happy until I had no choice but to pay attention to myself otherwise I would lose myself.

Whatever your situation is in life you need to reprogram and start loving yourself more.

Here are some self-love tips to implement into your daily life:

  1. Stop Negative Self Talk – Your inner critic can be ruthless. Practice daily positive affirmations.
  2. Stop Comparing Yourself – You will always be unsatisfied this way. Looking at everything others have and what’s lacking in your own life will only make your life miserable. Write down things you have that you are grateful for. Open your eyes to the good things that you have in life. They don’t have to be material things. They could be meaningful relationships, good health, or a job.
  3. Stop Worrying Over not Having Control – Think about how you can enjoy the present moment to the fullest rather than holding onto worries. Only focus on the things you can control or change. You will see that you will become physically and mentally better for it.
